Cece Rios and the Desert of Souls : Kaela Rivera

She was taught to fear the criaturas of the desert. Now, one of them may be her only hope.

Twelve-year-old Cece Rios lives in Tierra del Sol, where powerful criaturas roam the desert and brujas who control them are feared.

When her older sister is kidnapped by the dark criatura El Sombrerón, Cece will do anything to bring her home—even learn the forbidden magic she's been warned against her entire life. With the legendary Coyote by her side, Cece sets out on a dangerous adventure filled with magic, Mexican folklore, and unexpected friendship.

Cece Rios and the Desert of Souls is an adventurous and heartfelt fantasy about courage, family, and discovering that the stories you've been told aren't always the whole truth.
