Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Book Two: The Sea of Monsters

Camp Half-Blood is under attack. Grover is missing. And Percy Jackson must sail into the most dangerous waters in the world to save them both.

Percy Jackson's seventh-grade year has been suspiciously quiet.

But that changes when he discovers that the magical borders protecting Camp Half-Blood have been poisoned, leaving the only safe haven for young demigods vulnerable to an invasion of mythological monsters.

And that's not the only problem.

Percy's best friend Grover has been captured by the Cyclops Polyphemus and is being held prisoner somewhere in the Sea of Monsters—a dangerous stretch of water mortals know by another name: the Bermuda Triangle.

To save Grover and restore the camp's defenses, Percy, Annabeth, and his unexpected new friend Tyson must embark on a dangerous quest to retrieve the legendary Golden Fleece.

Their journey will take them across monster-filled seas, onto the Island of the Cyclopes, and deeper into the growing conflict threatening the world of the Greek gods.

Along the way, Percy will also discover a surprising secret about his own family—one that changes what he thought he knew about being the son of Poseidon.

Fast-paced, funny, and packed with monsters, mythology, friendship, and adventure, The Sea of Monsters continues Rick Riordan's beloved Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.

Perfect for readers who love: Greek mythology, demigods, magical quests, monsters, sea adventures, friendship, humor, action-packed fantasy, Camp Half-Blood, and reluctant heroes.
